Barack Obama Went to Harvard

Jon Stewart on the Jan. 20 Daily Show completing Rev. Lowery's rhyme:

". . . when blue can hang around too, when puce will be set loose, when we get beyond the minutia of fuschia, when orange . . . when orange . . . uhh . . . oh, screw orange." :)

Jon Stew is my life, my soul and my savior.

^^^ You belong to a pretty scary church! :)

I belong to the church of FSM.

I like that one too. J-Stew and FSM; my favourite things to follow. =P

Add to your favorite things: The Strokes/Kings of Leon

I personally (But, wait, can a statement made with an internet alias be 'personal'? hmm.)

recommend: Red Morning Light/Pistol of Fire/Holy Roller Novocaine/Joe's Head/The Runner by Kings of Leon.

It's good stuff.

Interesting thread lmfao

collegehopefull: you like Kings of Leon? What? Why haven't we discussed this on AIM yet? I've been a fan since 2003!

Myeeep.

I have also liked Modest Mouse since 2000, and the White Stripes since '03 (this one is interesting though, I heard a song on 'Elephant' (was probably black math), and then went to get a record, got 'Bloodcells' instead, and fell in love with "Fell in Love with a Girl")

Seventh grade was an awesome year for music for me. (everyone liked MSI....)
Eighth grade...not so much (Franz Ferdinand? Bwah? I have like.....4 songs by them now?)

LOVE : Modest Mouse and the Stripes. I was so bummed when they couldn't play Austin City Limits due to health issues. :(

Yeah, I heard it was a node on his larynx or something.

I know this is a Haahvahd thread, but Of Montreal is playing in New Haven on the 19th of April.

If I get in, I'm totally blowing off a week of school to go see them/Bull Dog Days.

Of Montreal is playing in Boston on 4/20 & 4/21!

I'd be there, except I already have tickets to see Ratatat on 4/20...

You have no idea how jealous I am.....

Yes we can! GO OBAMA!

When Obama gave a speech at the 04 convention, my father turned to me with a tear in his eye and said, "That man will be president in your lifetime." Even my father didn't expect so soon.

true story

When Obama gave a speech about acting fast to avoid paying 'an even steeper price', my father turned to me, grinned and said " The age of fear politics is clearly over; we can solve a problem of leverage with MORE leverage!"

true story

I can't believe someone actually would have posted an article 5 years ago. What a random post to look back upon. Its amazing!
