Barack's daughter is pregnant, unwed, and her BF is a high school dropout--what if?

I received this in an e-mail today. Thoughts?

What if the candidates lives were reversed?

What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review?

What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said "I do" to?

What if Obama were the candidate who left his crippled first wife after she no
longer measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain killers, but
acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5?

What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

You are The Boss. Which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, 2 wars, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar,
all-time high prison population, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures..............

Educational Background:

Obama: Columbia University - B.A. Political
Science with a Specialization in International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden: University of Delaware - B.A in
History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law -
Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Versus:

McCain: United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Palin: Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters -B.A. in Journalism

Now, which team are you going to hire?

PS: What if Barack Obama had an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter whose boyfriend was a high school dropout?

What if we had god mode in real life?

I support Obama but that e-mail is utterly disingenuous. Anyone would pick "McCain" (with Obama's stats) over "Obama" (with McCain's stats) simply because the author cherry-picked the best Obama stats and the worst McCain stats. I hope nobody's dumb enough to miss that.

And oh, the author deemed it suitable to leave out the fact that Obama enrolled in Occidental College before transferring to Columbia.

If you want to do a true "what if?", then you would have had to put Biden had a blahblahblah daughter.

Anyone would pick "McCain" (with Obama's stats) over "Obama" (with McCain's stats) simply because the author cherry-picked the best Obama stats and the worst McCain stats. I hope nobody's dumb enough to miss that.

^^ that, along with his complete reliance on google, his relentless word-for-word reproductions of newspaper articles and parroting of McCain talking points, conclusively proves that pugfug90 has absolutely no mind of his own and is completely incapable of actual thought.

tsk tsk

Must be hard to counter facts and logic. I know it insults some that I back up my statements whereas other like to spew things out of thin air... :)

I think you must have missed the point of this thread. The thread asked for opinions, mine was the same as yours. Why would I have to write anything different? Your response? fdsjk fdsjkfksk angry attack jab

Haha that's totally bogus, as others have already said you picked the best Obama stats and the worst McCain stats. No way is that objective.

And you forgot about Obama hanging around with terrorists...

Besides these "stats", that's not what people are voting on. Maybe you, but not me.

Personally, I prefer McCain's record of reform, as Barack has said:There is one person who’s been consistent on reform issues, and that’s been John McCain., his independent judgment (defying poll/party/president), his wisdom compared to Obama's naivety (preconditions, change the world), his realization that we have a limited bank account (no to earmarks, fight excess spending), his frankness (unlike Obama, recent debate, his only ties with ACORN LOL, "Just some guy in my neighborhood")

But that's just me. If you're impressed with Obama's best stats and repulsed at McCain's worst, don't vote for him.

Personally, I'm not as shallow.

Nobody likes a moralizer, pugfug. There are plenty of real reasons to find fault with McCain, and plenty of refutations for the faults you ascribe to Obama. Calling us shallow and pretending that you're the authority on everything is the fastest way to become a farce.

It's my opinion that the stats of the topic's title are meaningless. Quit boo hooing over differences of opinion, mmkay? :)

W. went to Andover, Yale and Harvard Business School...

what's your point?

Are you that desperate?

They didn't just live in the same neighborhood, or serve on a couple of boards together. They also shared some offices together, collaborated on millions that didn't do jack for Chicago's schools. Obama has not been forthright about his relationships.

What if we assessed both candidates fairly rather than carrying a burningly obvious prejudice towards one?

Seems to me the OP has been reading a little too much Rolling Stone...

http://nbjackson.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/19106339.jpg

The gliterry-eyed of awe both OP and Rolling Stone is absolutely cultish. Just my thoughts :D

Evidence please. And the comedian Rush Limbaugh does not count.

:)

What does evidence matter to you? You don't care that he continued to work with the guy after knowing he attacked America, after knowing he was unrepentant, and yet you'll change your mind if you knew about the intimacy of their relationship?

If your mind dares, you can look up yourself Obama/Ayers/Office/Millions. The millions are reported on mainstream outlets, the office is just bubbling on the blogosphere. It's called GOOGLE.

Occidental is a pretty good LAC (ranked 37th by USNWR) and it probably is more difficult to get into Columbia as a transfer (need to get very good grades as a college student).

Uhh, Obama and Ayers served on two boards - both of which had to do w/ education - and one of the boards, btw, was financed by Annenberg, a close friend of Ronald and Nancy Reagan (I guess that makes the Reagans "terrorists" as well).

McCain was on the board of a group which supported right-wing death squads in Central/South America.

And pug conveniently overlooks the fact that McCain praised G. Gordon Liddy and his family while Libby hosted a fundraiser for McCain.

Mind you - this is the same Liddy who, during the 70's, made plans to firebomb a Washington think tank, assassinate a prominent journalist, undertake the Watergate burglary, break into the office of a psychiatrist, and kidnap anti-war protesters at the 1972 Republican convention.

What does that make McCain? After all, Liddy is unrepentant as well...

Again, evidence please. Your word is certainly not good enough. And I shouldn't waste my time going on a wild goose chase to verify certainly-false Limbaugh talking points that you spew.
