Looking for information on study abroad experiences in Barcelona. Pros/cons?

Its an amazing place to be. Somewhat cheaper living than many other places, thus it attracts huge amounts of students that makes it fun and exciting.
The only con I would imagine is that direct flights are somewhat more expensive and less frequent than to some other popular destinations.

i dont know about their education system, but i do know that…

I SUPPORT FC BARCELONA

Pros: energetic, dynamic city. plenty of culture, things to do, sights to see. very international. close to france.

Cons: more expensive than other Spanish cities, you’re going to hear a lot more Catalan than Spanish (Castellano) – but that doesnt deter people from going to Barcelona to learn Spanish – I think its the most popular city in Spain to learn Spanish (also perhaps because of its proximity to France). Other con – pick-pocket problems in Barcelona, especially on the metro.

Overall – you will likely have an awesome time there. Don’t think sol y playa if you go in the winter, cause it’s gonna be rain and cold – but still great.
