BArch vs. MArch

My D has several good choices so far but some offer BArch and others MArch.
She has been accepted to (EA): Tulane, UMiami, UMaryland, Northeastern, UMass Amherst and PennSt. Still waiting for (RD): UMichigan, Cornell and WashU.
Any opinions on which degree is preferable? Also anyone attending any of these schools for Architecture or graduates have any insight or thoughts.
Thanks!

By MArch to you mean it would be a 4+2 program? The “best program” really depends on what your daughter prefers, what type of arch education she’s looking for, and whether or not she thinks the rigor of BArch would be good for her. Cost also becomes a factor, as BArch means one less year of paying for school. Simply by rankings Cornell is the top program, but there are many opinions on BArch vs. MArch, it usually depends on the individual

When looking at recent graduates we do not make a distinction between BArch and MArch graduates. Generally both will have the same amount of studio time and skills. She just has to be prepared to jump in with both feet in a 5 year BArch, because it is a very focused program without a lot of electives.
