Bard, Brandeis, Tufts, Vassar, Brown, Northeastern, Wheaton, Skidmore, Swarthmore?

I honestly am not so good at these chance things, but I can tell you that you’re a strong applicant. You show leadership roles in your EC, and there is focus in the arts as shown in your activities. Founding the school arts magazine will definitely be impressive to any college to which you apply. In at Brandeis. I would say Brown and Swarthmore are your highest reaches, match for Northeastern :)

Chance back for a friend?

Swarthmore and Brown are not realistic reaches for you, IMHO, and I’m very doubtful about Tufts. Vassar is a more realistic reach, and being male will help at Vassar. I think you would get in to Wheaton–I’m assuming the one in MA?–and likely also at Brandeis, Northeastern, and Skidmore. Bard is more iffy: I know a guy with a very similar profile who was waitlisted, surprisingly, and your SAT is low for them. So I’d probably put it in the realistic reach column.

There is no doubt that better SAT scores–like another 100 points, preferably in M and CR-- would help you at your reaches. So would being in the top 10% of your class, although top 15% is good. have you taken SAT IIs? Have you participated in the Grand Concours?

I am not sure about Brandeis, but here are the rest:

Bard: high match
Tufts: reach
Vassar: low reach
Brown: high reach
Northeastern: match
Skidmore: match (likely in)
Swathmore: high reach

Good luck!
