Bard-CEU Budapest?

I'm going to apply to study there for the Fall of 2008 through a program affiliated with Bard College. I'll probably be studying some combination of history and philosophy, with some Latin thrown in for good measure. Does anyone have any experience with any of these areas at CEU? Any info about classes, professors, fellow students, etc. would be much appreciated. I've never even left the country before. What's Budapest like? Food, cultural opportunities, etc.?

thanks

My D did a program in Budapest. Great city with excellent public transportation. Very safe. Many think its opera house beats the one in Vienna; Franz Josef may have thought so because he went to Budapest's once and never returned. Food is both good and very inexpensive, beverages cost a lot. Hungarian is a very difficult language, highly inflected, with 22 cases...you aren't likely to get beyond rudimentary Hungarian though they do appreciate the attempt.

I don't know about the Bard program. There was another program in the same building as D's that seemed filled with partying slackers.
