Bare with me as I ask the never-ending question...chances at Harvard???

I know, please don't hate me :( ! I am yet another student hoping to get into Harvard, but I also want to apply to the following:

Stanford
Berkeley
Wash U
NYU
Columbia
Wellesley
Carleton
Yale

Stats:
General
-Female
-Grade 11
-Average-Size Public School (about 2300 students) in Las Vegas, NV
-Caucasian (Middle Eastern); low income

Academics
-3.98 Unweighted GPA (from last year)
-4.47 Weighted GPA (from last year)
-Ranked 1/500
-1800 PSAT (sophomore year); I'm guessing I got about a 2000 or above this year (we haven't gotten the scores back yet)
-1 AP last year (World History- scored a 4); taking five APs this year (including: Spanish Language, English Literature and Composition, Comparative Government, U.S. History [online], Biology); taking 8 next year (Government, Calculus [AB], Physics, English Language and Composition, Spanish Literature, Macroeconomics [online], European History, World History)

Extracurriculars
- National Honor Society (our school started it this year)
- Key Club (Secretary for 2 years; will run for LTG and Club Vice President next year)
- Model U.N. (will begin next year; I am founding it along with a friend)
- Newspaper (Columnist, Staff writer, and online editor)
- Forensics Team (I started this year and have won high rank at local tournaments for Extemp and Congress; I just received my National Membership along with an honors thingy- have no idea what it is, but it means I earned a certain amount of points)

Miscellaneous
- Fluent in two languages (English and Dari; English is technically my second language, but I learned it at age 5)
- Write for an online newspaper
- Want to major in Journalism and minor in International Relations (I'm currently in Journalism II, and I recently went to a luncheon where I met with Karl Fleming- I was so excited!)
- Spent summer of sophomore year in a Trial by Peers training program
- I plan on getting a job at a local bookstore as soon as I get my license (next September when I turn 17)
- Trained CPR Instructor and Student
- Volunteer at local Library (for NHS and just for fun)
- Member of the Young Democrats of America

Harvard is a large reach - for you to have a realistic shot you need to get that SAT score up to 2200 at the least. Even then, you don't have any E.C's that jump out. For the rest of your schools.

Stanford: large reach
Berkeley: reach
Wash U: reach
NYU: match if you get the 2000
Columbia: reach
Wellesley: match if you get 2050ish.
Carleton: don't know
Yale: large reach

8 AP's? Are you insane?

I'd suggest taking a SAT class(I went from a 170ish PSAT to a 2030 SAT). If you can get around a 2200 SAT and keep up your grades and EC's you have a ok chance at Harvard(just bc its harvard).

eh, be careful of the SAT classes you take tho, b/c some of em don't help that much...i went from a 215 psat to a 2160 SAT.
