wait so the deferral letter says we can send in our materials by feb 15th but the rep you called said we should submit it by jan 4th??
she said grades are by feb 15 and additional supplementary stuff is by jan 4
so the LOCI by jan 4th?? that seems kinda soon
A letter of continued interest is more for waitlisted candidates but you can send one to reiterate your interest in Barnard. As a deferred applicant your application will be reviewed again with the RD pool so you should get any additional information and supplements you want included in your file for consideration by the admissions committee by the same deadline as the RD candidates. Grades have some flexibility because schools provide them not the students.
hi! i actually just sent an email to the admissions office asking about the dates and stuff and the admissions office said that the LOCI should be in by feb 15th, with the grades and everything. iām a lil confused bc it seems like another admissions rep said jan 4th, but the email i got said feb 15
are you guys just emailing your additional supplementary stuff to the admissions office/regional rep? i donāt see anywhere on the portal to add it.
yeah, iām pretty sure we just email it to the admissions office. are u sending anything besides a LOCI
yes I also heard āend of januaryā from my admissions rep for submissions!
question - for those of you that sent in/are going to send in a LOCI, are you just sending it as an email or attaching as a separate file to your email?
hi! I also got deferred and was wondering if Barnard asked everyone to submit their spring grades or if they only asked some people?
i attached it as a separate file!
same
which grades are you referring to? it also may depend on your schoolās structure
it asks for my āspring mid-term gradesā
dying deferred +1
hello! for those of you that sent in your LOCI, did you get any confirmation that they received it? i emailed my regional rep directly with mine and didnāt get a response or anything from her (not that i was necessarily expecting one), so i was wondering if i should send a follow-up email verifying that they got it? But i also donāt want to be naggy lol? idk I think iām just anxious
It took my rep 12 days to reply to my deferral letter saying she got it, plus Barnard is always v bad at replying emails frankly speakingā¦
I sent it straight to the admissions office and received a reply a couple of days later confirming that they got the materials!
Hi everyone! I literally just found this thread but I also got deferred lol. I am manifesting an acceptence for all of us <3
ah okay! do you think iād be overcompensating if i sent it again to the admissions office instead of to a regional rep? i just want to make sure they get it lol this whole waiting period is giving me such bad anxiety (also i LOVE your username omg)
