Do they usually accept more students through ED than RD? Or is it the same? I AM FREAKING OUT!

ED is a huge boost for Barnard because a lot of girls use it as a fallback for Ivies and Ivy+s, so they give big priority to the girls who establish Barnard as their first choice.
It’s also so nerve wracking because this year, Barnard’s received the most ED Applications than EVER before. The pool is so much bigger

@davinasaltos that’s from last year right? so it’s different this year…like they haven’t had enough time to reflect on it yet i think. i could be wrong but i think that’s from last year
I’m applying to Barnard RD,so I can’t really relate to you guys right now,but I wish you guys all the best. From what I’ve read in this thread since ive started following this thread you guys seems like a bunch of smart,kind, and encouraging girls. I truly hope everything goes well for all you guys applying EA/ED/RD because you guys do deserve to get in. At the end of the day,realize that this time period of your life is but a tiny fraction of your entire life. So what ever happens don’t let it define who you are as a person. Whatever happens, just keep moving forward, if you get that dreaded decision yeah spend a day or two sulking,eating a whole pint of half baked ice cream,junk food,take a bath, pig out,marathon on Netflix, dance around the house blasting music in your ears( or at least this is what I’d do) or really anything that makes you feel awesome and allows you to express your feelings. But, after that know that you should NEVER let a college dictate how you see yourself as a person ,you are the one who has control over that.
So good luck to all of you during the college admissions process and beyond.

It’s driving me absolutely INSANE thinking about if I will have the opportunity to spend the next four years of my life at Barnard. Every night, I pray for my acceptance to Barnard, but tonight, I will pray for all of you who applied as well. I know we won’t get a lot of sleep tonight, but try to think positive thoughts and have good dreams.
