I just finished watching a tap video to Beyonce’s formation–I would have never though of combining the two but I enjoyed it.
I kinda want to learn salsa or belly dancing, I think it’d be really different and interesting.
I don’t think they neeeeed to tell us a week beforehand, but it is common courtesy… They could email us the 21/22/23rd and we get admission notifications the 28/29/30th? I wonder if it has to fall on a Thursday…

Last year students were notified via email on Friday, March 20th, and decisions came out Thursday, March 26th.
Year before that they were notified Tuesday, March 18th-ish, and decisions came out Wednesday, March 26th.
In 2012 (first year they sent out emails), they were notified Wednesday, March 13th and decisions came out Wednesday, March 27th.
Either way, I have faith in the admissions committee–this is probably stressful on them too and at the end of the day, rushing the process wouldn’t be the best.

@eebee88 Riiiight? I’m kind of at the point that I just want to know. Obviously if I got into Barnard I’d be so happy I’d probably die-- but this waiting is just as much if not more torture than receiving a rejection letter D:
@charmandquark yeah i’m waiting on 6 (!!!) more schools and at this point i won’t even be mad at a rejection, as long as I know the final decision. I’m keeping my expectations for Barnard very, very low right now, but regardless of the outcome I’ll still cry lol
@eebee88 Duuude Same! xD If it does come out next week, I’m assuming it’d be released about 7pm est/4pm pst, which is around when my school day ends. I’ll be an exact replica of the Kim Kardashian crying face. xD

so far i have been waitlisted or rejected from my reach schools so i’m really nervous… hey i’m new to the thread! i’m from CT and hope to major in either history or political science! let’s be nervous together guys!

I’m from Maryland. Barnard is my 1st choice, but it is a reach school. :-/
@charmandquark Burritos and the beach for sure! But Barnard has much to offer that I think I can give up the burritos
@PartofYourWorld Interesting, seems to be a lot of applicants from Maryland? Is Barnard known on that side of the US? In California most people haven’t heard of it–unless they are school counselors and stuff. & no worries, Barnard is a reach for everyone.
@TeaQueen This is true, doesn’t the east coast have beaches though, right? or is it too rocky…?
I think it’s so well known in Maryland due to the fact that it’s not too close and not too far. I personally wouldn’t have known about Barnard if it wasn’t for my college counselor. My counselor is really close with the admission at Barnard since a girl from my school got accepted last year.

@olivebar ugghhhhh thats a bummer. Although I don’t go to the beach often, the San Francisco Bay can be freezing sometimes. SoCal beaches are lit though.
@PartOfYourWorld Dude that’s great! i think I’m the first person in the history of my school to apply to Barnard–but my school is only 10 years old and most people go to UC’s/CSU’s because it’s sooooo much cheaper.
