Barnard Class of '20 Discussion

9 more hours to go X_X

For all those who have applied RD to Barnard, what is your SAT score ?

@indiangirl123 2220, so not awesome but not awful! I’ve been waitlisted at Vandy, WashU, and Bowdoin so I’m really hoping Barnard pulls through!

@indiangirl123 1970 but I submitted my 32 ACT as my main score so hopefully they don’t look at it too long…

@NotAMathlete really needed this, especially because I also didn’t get accepted to Wellesley and I thought I had a pretty good chance.

Best of luck to you, and the rest of you amazing ladies as well today!! Whatever happens, we’ll all find our way through and out of this entire college admissions mess. Just a few more weeks.

Less than 5 hours DDD: does anyone else feel mildly sick? Literally for every other school when I got accepted/waitlisted/denied I was like … “oh, ok” but this one really matter to me and accccchhkkk. I just really want to know if i get accepted or denied already

@indiangirl123 I got 1660 for SAT and 28 for ACT. I didn’t mean to send my SAT score but I guess Barnard saw it in my transcript? because it’s shown as submitted in my App Tracker thing

did anyone in this thread apply to Smith??

@olivebar I did!! I haven’t visited but I hear that Northampton is great.

@hechopecho cool!! I have a better shot at getting in Smith than Barnard so I’m really hoping I don’t get two rejections in two days lol. Good luck!

@olivebar ahh yeah!! i totally understand. I thought kind of naively at first that I would likely get into into Smith and/or Mount Holyoke easily since I was accepted to a few reaches in terms of test scores but then I got waitlisted by Mount Holyoke and I’m kind of nervous.

The only women’s colleges I applied to were Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Barnard simply because when it came time to write my supplement essays I didn’t really manage my time very well and I really wish I had !! because I really love the atmosphere at women’s liberal arts colleges. I didn’t know i liked it so much until I got accepted into Case Western which was a p. big reach for me and I was kind of indifferent about it ? idk man idk

@olivebar ! My daughter did and we visited the campus last year. She was accepted with an ‘early write’ in February. Smith decisions are coming out on the 25th I think.

I feel the same; I feel on edge. I want to take a nap and wake up at 7, but I keep refreshing to see if anyone added more comments to the thread. Less than 4 hours now.

Less than three hours now. I should be working on my Spring Break hw but i cant concentrate ahh

I don’t know how to feel right now… This whole waiting for decisions thing is incredibly nerve-wracking.

I have a tennis match starting at 3:30… I don’t know how I’ll be able to concentrate on my playing. I guess I’ll be motivated to win as quickly as possible so I can run to check my email on my phone right afterwards…
Best of luck to all of you ladies! This thread has been a huge support and comfort to me, and I know you all will do wonderful things regardless of today’s outcome.

90 minutes! I feel like I’m going to explode.

Getting so nervous!!

Hi all! Long time lurker on this thread, first time poster! Really nervous for seven o’clock!!! What are you all gonna major in?

@hanxin welcome! I’m interested in the human rights major and French, how about you?

aahhh almost an hour!!
