Literally same!! I spent a good two hours watching reaction videos once. Not proud haha. I’m also interested in neuroscience and political science and also dance! @greenteen17
@mimimo7890 omg that’s a lot of videos haha
this is so cool - I also LOVE dance but I don’t think I’ll pursue it academically in college
@mimimo7890 I can only speak from our family’s experience and that is that Barnard has a very strong sense of community and sense of identity. That said, it is part of a very large research university and is located in New York City. So it doesn’t have the same feeling as a Smith, Mt Holyoke or Amherst. I’d say it is definitely not for the faint of heart or those who are not able to assert themselves.
My SP2 interview was amazing! They were very nice and inter tested in my extracurriculars so it was nice to talk about something that came naturally to me
@kendizzle That’s so great! Mine’s on Tuesday! What questions did they ask?
@mimimo7890 UH SAME i used to spend hours watching reaction videos and crying
@clepay I watched this whole documentary on it one time this wait for every school is killing me and it’s weird to think that in about a month it will all pretty much be over
Hi @laurensmithy! I had mine last week & they asked me about why I’m interested in Barnard & SP2 (two separate questions) + how I am involved with my chosen field + any time I struggled with something (I gave two examples, one regarding a summer class/program in my chosen field and one regarding regular academic classes) & how I overcame the struggle. Definitely have 2-3 questions prepared for them so you seems super interested and aware!
Good luck!
Hi, do you guys know how many people get accepted to the SP2 program? I just had my interview and I am so nervous! @RiotInMe @laurensmithy @kendizzle
@evelyn1799 uh well if I remember correctly, when we signed up for interviews there was like 25 slots… But the dude told me they take about 10 for sp2
@evelyn1799 I was wondering the same thing! It’s so hard to find info on SP2 because this academic year is the program’s first cohort. Do you guys think it’s a good sign for admission?
Anyone know when decisions will be out ?
Probably in two or three weeks
I seriously cannot wait. I was deferred from Wellesley where I applied EDII and now I can’t wait to see my regular decision admissions. Barnard and Wellesley are both my top choice, but I have a special love for Barnard. Does anyone want to share their stats/credentials? Anyways, good luck guys.

Does Barnard typically wait for Ivy Day (same as Columbia) to announce decisions or does Barnard release RD acceptances sooner?
@Houston1021 Last year it was March 24 and the year before was March 26, so it’s usually before Ivy day …
Is there a separate Barnard Portal from the Application checklist, portal?
