Mammamia, I’m in PA right outside of Philadelphia. Still no letter but I’ll take this and the email saying “we look forward to seeing you at Barnard in the fall” as a good sign. :p

@jrm927 lmfaoo, where are you from? Can everyone whose tracking #s worked please state where they’re from. I’m from the states and it worked for me so I’m prrayinggggg its not a glitch.

@AMURD927, I’M SO HAPPY AND EXCITED TO MEET YOU You definitely caught my attention on this thread and I’m ecstatic that we’ve both gotten in!!

I also hope PeaceLoveTheatre and SunlightMidnight and all the rest of you wonderful ladies get in!! This thread has kind of kept me sane (or insane… not sure which) through this past, long, ARDUOUS month.

Bringing my mom there for a tour next week :)

Haha i’m not saying my name here on this thread so that we can connect, but I’m sure I’ll eventually find you on the facebook page. Fate will lead us to one another ;)

Welllll it didn’t work for me so I guess the woman was just trying to make me feel hopeful

I’m so sorry mammamia44 :(. I know this is so cliche, but wherever you end up you will be happy!

…for those of you who it worked, I confirmed my enrollment & got an automated email saying they got my confirmation and are looking forward to seeing me in the fall. Now I just have to submit my deposit. Does anyone know when that is due by?

@AmbitiousBetty: I live in Pennsylvania, so I guess we’re good!

@ambitiousbetty i go to a private school in NYC. i think i know of all of the private schools in brooklyn, we probably have some mutual friends.
im applying EDII to NYU, for a long time NYU was my #1 until i looked into barnard, i know i would be very happy there. of course i wish i could be going to barnard, but i guess everything happens for a reason.
congrats, though!!

if my tracking number isnt working, does that mean that I’m definitely rejected?

@nyc1994, yea we definitely have mutual friends then if you go to private school in the city! I wish you the absolute best on your college journey & I hopeee you get into NYU. Thank you so much for the congratulations.

Sorry to be creeping, but last year if the tracking number worked, it meant you are in. If it didn’t work, it may be a glitch, or you may be deferred or denied. No one on the boards said that their tracking number worked, but they didn’t get in.

@naomiiii, do you go to Barnard? Ahh, I hope you’re right. I confirmed my acceptance on the page & they sent me an email confirmation.

yeah. I applied ED last year. I’m from TX, and my letter didn’t arrive until saturday, i think. I was dying. My parents called the admissions office on friday, and they let me know per phone that I was in (my tracking number worked on wednesday, but it seemed too good to be true)

so if i logged in and it said welcome admitted students, does that mean im definately in?

namoiiii, did the tracking number work for you when you applied?

All I can tell you, is that everyone who had access to that site with their number got in last year!

@amurd and jrm, I’m in the same boat…No letter but I filled out the enrollment reply form!! there’s no way THAT’S a glitch!!

we are SO unorthodoxly ambitious haha!

@ treehugga, you are definitely in. I had my college counselor look at it, and he said that it’s a definite acceptance since you have access to the enrollment reply form with YOUR name on it!!!

omg you guys!!!

:D :D

im happy that so many of us are getting in!
remember to post in the stats thread! itll help RDers and next year’s EDers! :)

It’s still sinking in. I’m going to wait until I get my letter before I post a Facebook status but I think the fact that my boyfriend posted “I told you you’d get in” and my friend at Barnard posted “welcome to the Sisterhood” combined with the fact that I just liked the Barnard College Office of Admissions and Barnard Class of 2016 sort of gives it away.

But last night I was thinking that I really wished I’d done high school differently. I wished I’d challenged myself more in math and science; I wished I’d taken more APs; I wished I wasn’t taking accelerated (on grade level, a step below Honors) pre-calc and physics in my senior year. I wasn’t in the National Honors Society, and one of the three girls who went to Barnard last year from my school was the president of NHS.

But none of it matters now. When I’m at Barnard nobody will care that I didn’t take AP math or that I got below a 600 on the math section of my SAT. Nobody will say a thing because we’ll all be there together as equals.

Anyway, as for what’s been rushing through my mind since the tracking number worked…

OH MY GOD!!! WE’RE GOING TO BARNARD!!!

i hope its for sure…im holding off on the celebrations until tomorrow, but that won’t stop me from sneaking on a barnard shirt tomorrow
