Thanks amurd927. Anyone else, please respond to the same question. I want to know it’s actually a problem before I call.

StillEnergy, I have a date next to it as well.

i have a date next to “early decision signature” as well.

Incurable, the one I got was this:
WELCOME, NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS

Steps closer to becoming a Barnard woman . . .

Respond to our offer of admission
Whether an early decision student who is confirming her attendance, or a transfer or visiting student who has made her decision to attend Barnard or has selected another institution, we ask that you reply to our offer of admission. Once you reply, you will receive an automated email from us confirming your selection and reminding you about next steps if necessary.

Pay your tuition deposit
If you would rather mail your deposit using a check or credit card number, please use the Enrollment and Deposit form. You may print this form, complete it, and mail it to the address on the form.

Should I call and ask if the message from the tracking code means an automatic rejection/deferral?

jrm927 and thisisscary thanks!! I’ll definitely be contacting them ASAP!!

Can others confirm this?

And of you don’t mind me asking, if you applied around 11/15, what date does it say next to the signature date.

My mom called to make sure that I actually was admitted and they didn’t say - they simply said that all decisions were mailed out yesterday and that they only come by letter and they can’t confirm or deny anything over the phone. She then mentioned the deposit and they said that if we weren’t actually accepted they would give her a refund. It seems highly unlikely to me that I would enroll, pay the fee, get an email that says “we look forward to seeing you at Barnard in the fall,” and then get rejected, but I suppose you can never know for sure.

And StillEnergy7, it says 11/16/11 for me - I have everything there other than the TOEFL (I’m domestic) and the ACT (submitted SATs), and all of them are marked 11/16 or 11/17.

When did you get the email??

I am having the same message as other girls, stating that admissions won’t be posted online. Have you guys all gotten your packages? I haven’t gotten anything, and I am super nervous. Eek! Good luck to all.

Thanks so much again amurd927!

Others please confirm as well!!!?

I don’t have the date next to the ED signature but I still got in so hold on tight. =]

It was right after I selected “Yes, I confirm my plans to attend Barnard as a First-Year student” (I got there through the admitted student page from my tracking number). But once again, nothing is certain and Barnard admissions will not confirm or deny anything!

Huge congratulations to all who have been accepted! My sympathies to those who didn’t quite get there. I know that emotions are all over the place right now, and I honor that, but please know that you’re all great. The fact that you put yourselves in the position to seriously apply speaks volumes about you.

I GOT IN GUYS, I’M SO HAPPY.
Hopefully the online admitted students link does work because me and a friend got in AND WE’RE WAITING FOR OUR LETTERS. I highly HIGHLY doubt something as messy as admitting a student by accident would happen and I honestly couldn’t be more happier.

CHIN UP EVERYONE. THE FINAL DECISION WILL COME. And for those who have officially gotten deferred or rejected, don’t worry, keep calm and remember how to breathe.

Why are there two trolls on the decisions thread??
Omg
what is wrong
with
the barnard thread :(

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT IN!!! I am genuinely so excited for you girls!! Hopefully I will get to meet you all next year!

Still waiting impatiently for my letter in dear old California…I am excising all of the self-control I have (which is not much) and refraining from checking the website. I will post when I find out via old school mail, which will likely be tomorrow or Friday.

To those of you who got denied or deferred, chin up The right school for you is out there somewhere and you’re going to inexplicably happy no matter where you end up!

Also - do those who got deferred really get the big envelope, too? That is what it says to the admissions Facebook link that college1811 posted earlier…

Jk, the whole waiting thing lasted about five minutes…if the website is correct, I GOT IN!!! :D

I shouldn’t have checked the website…now, when I get my letter, I’ll either be a)surprised (rejection), or b)not too excited because I already knew.

I’m 30 mins away from the city and haven’t recieved my letter…I wish I had, because everyone else I know is getting accepted places, and I want to be sure of everything before I tell anyone (I actually told a few of my friends before my parents though)

now my tracking number isnt working at all…what does that mean?

@treehugga, @PeaceLoveTheatre, @amurd927, @SunlitMidnight

I think my random wish 20 pages ago actually came true. All five of us really got in? :O

Dayum.
