Hey Guys,
So I’m planning on applying ED to Barnard. I had not considered a women’s college before I found Barnard and I am absolutely in love with it. Previously I was planning on CC, but honestly I’m finding Barnard’s liberal arts curriculum much better. Although I’m at the top of my class in my school, I think I might get lost in Columbia and I guess Barnard provides more personal attention? Many other reasons too. Also, what kind of woman is Barnard looking for? Is it important to be engaged in Women’s organisation specifically ? I am engaged in a lot of ECAs but they are not specific to women. Also, as for being connected to the admissions officer, what do I mail them? I mean pretty much everything is there on the site.
Also, how is the campus feel? And what is the employment rate after graduating?
If you sign up to be on Barnard’s mailing list, you can receive their “black book” which has all of the answers you are looking for. My favorite part of the book are the alumni pages that highlight specific alumni and everything they did in their four years at Barnard. From there is where you can really get a sense of what exactly is a Barnard woman.
Hey! So I signed up for the mailing list but I didn’t find the black book anywhere :’( Is it available on the Barnard site?
Hi thenameisi You will be mailed a black book if you google Barnard Black Book and sign up for it
Okay thanks! Are you planning on applying as well?
If anyone has that link, please share. 10 minutes of Google just kept leading me to prior years info.
Thank you
Hey applicants! I was wondering if for the secondary supplement if any of you chose a modern day woman? I know that they ask for a historical or fictional character but did anyone choose to do someone like Michelle Obama (just for an example, not what I’m doing!)? Or if you know that they do or don’t want that please help me out! Thanks.
