Barnard College Class of 2023 ED

Hi!

I’m planning on applying ED to Barnard College. I’m from Northern California. Anyone else planning on applying ED in the fall?

Me! I’m an international applicant though.

I’m interested in applying ED but I am afraid that I will not get in, basically creating the want to procrastinate and defe my rejection as much as possible. Do you think i’d have a better chance applying ED? I’m from Central Florida.

I’m from SoCal. I want to apply ED because not a lot of other schools interest me, but my mom might be hesitant to allow me to

Hi guys!
I’m a rising first year at Barnard and I applied ED to the class of 2022. My advice is that apply ED only if you can’t see yourself going to any other school but Barnard. I personally think that applying ED gives applicants a higher chance of getting in because the college know that this is your first choice and so they look at your application with a closer lense. If anyone has any questions about the Barnard ED application process, feel free to message me

All I want is to go to Barnard!!! Applying earlyyyy

The only thing I’m worried about is financial aid for ED since it’s an estimate and not an offer – anyone else?

Hi!! I’m torn between applying to Barnard or Brown early. (I’m from suburban Portland, Oregon.)
If the estimate for financial aid is anywhere close to what they give, then I might be able to swing it, but I’m skeptical.

I’m deciding between Barnard and Smith but I’m pretty sure I’ll choose Barnard…

I’ve also decided to apply to Wellesley since the application is free

Their financial aid was better too by a few thousand dollars

I’m planning on applying ED, but I’m so scared I won’t get in. I think the school is so perfect and I can’t imagine myself spending 4 years anywhere else. I got into one of Barnard’s pre-college summer programs and I’ll be up in New York very soon, I’m so excited!!

I really wanted to apply ED, and Barnard is my first choice, but I can’t apply ED not knowing about possible financial aid/who would provide what, and I just hope I can show Barnard that they’re my first choice in RD apps!

I totally get the financial aid thing. I’m prepared to pull out if I get in ED without enough financial aid - so glad you’re allowed to do that!

I’m going on a campus tour in a few days

Has anyone else scheduled one?

I’m too far away to do a campus tour… :frowning:

I’m in your same predicament since I live in CA, but I’m able to fly for a low rate since my mom’s job grants us free flights.

Otherwise, I would not be able to go either.

Would you like any info on what happened? I can share a few notes from what I jotted down

hello!! As of now, I’m also planning to apply to Barnard ED.
