@leila747 omg hey! Where are you from??
@lhata1 I’m from Oakland, CA. How bout you?
I’m from Miami, Florida. Are you Persian too?
@sobu3200 same! I haven’t been working on an RD apps. I really hope I get into Barnard because it’s my dream school, but if I don’t (which will probably be the case) I know I’m going to be super stressed trying to start and finish like 10 RD apps!!
@lhata1 nope I’m black
@Leila747 oh haha that would’ve been crazy if you were. Good luck! I hope you get in!
Hey gals, I’m from CT and applied ED! From what I’ve heard, they send an email the morning of decision day and tell you that decisions will be sent via email that evening (which is 7pm EST). In 2015, the decisions came out on Thursday, Dec 10 (at exactly 7pm), so it was not a Tuesday, but it could have changed since then. Good luck to all of you! Also, does anyone plan on auditioning for the CU/Barnard orchestra? I play the cello (:
I guess we won’t really know til we get the official email…
Damn really hope it comes out on Tuesday. I just want them to tell me I am rejected already and move on with my life.
im getting nervous to see the decision agh
Hi you lovely people. Just found out I was accepted as a transfer. I’m so over the moon. Hope to see you all at Barnard soon. Good luck!!! Xxxx
@england2022 Congrats! Did they inform you of the date and time prior to you receiving an email regarding your status?
Nope - got a sudden email saying “your barnard admission decision is available!” x
Dear Livia,
Thank you for your patience as we reviewed your application for Spring 2018 admission to Barnard College. Your admission decision is now ready. Please log into your applicant status page to view your decision.
Maybe that means they’re getting ready to release Fall ED decisions…
Does Barnard really not send an email of when decisions will be coming out?
Holy moly, I just checked the Barnard ED 2022 thread and apparently they will send an email about when decisions are released 2 days before. Barnard surprisingly rejects A LOT of people ED?? Wow, I am really expecting a rejection right now. I guess it is time to work on my RD apps now.
My friend who applied last year said that she received an email two days in advance telling her the release date and time. My other friend who applied the year before doesn’t think she got one. Not sure if they’re doing that this year.
I know that Barnard accepted 600 out of 900 ED applicants for class of 2023 (according to a poster) so there isn’t much of a rejection in my opinion compared to their regular decision. Either way, I wish you the best of luck, always try to have hope in yourself. If you didn’t get in perhaps it just wasn’t meant to be.
@yuelotus I’m pretty sure they do for all first-year applicants - just not transfers I guess
