Hey guys !! Anyone applying with HEOP ?
Yes! I applied, and I just finished my interview with the HEOP Dean (it went well). From what I heard, only some applicants get a HEOP interview. Best of luck!

@hazymay101 its the higher education opportunity program for new york city girls that come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, you dont have to worry that u didnt apply if you’re from out of state !!

This makes me so nervous, but I am glad that Barnard is not a school that takes standardized testing too seriously. I know that I have great ECs and talents and I wrote great essays. I just wanna know already!!
I don’t think you can obsess over GPAs because schools calculate them in different ways and there are different levels of grade inflation at different schools. Many schools don’t even calculate or submit GPAs.
@lopez2729 @BarrM22 Yes! I applied through HEOP as well and had my interview last week with the director. I really hope we all make it and see each other at the HEOP summer program <3 
Do you guys think that ethnicity plays a role in Barnard’s decision? I know that they try and make each class very diverse, so maybe it does? I hope it does because I’m NA making me (I hope) a little more competitive
@hazymay101 I think it does. Every school tries to make their class more diverse. I’m hoping it’ll help me as well because i am African American

@izzyangxp hi so we’re thinking Tuesday the 12th between 6-7pm but don’t quote me on that. None of us really know the exact date. Fingers crossed for everyone!
I agree it is highly possible for it to be the 12th if the Admissions Office follows previous years’ patterns. However, I believe the 13-15th is very possible as well since Barnard receives more and more applicants yearly.

@izzyangxp I have a strong feeling we hear back on the 12th because its a Tuesday. In 2015 and 2016, the ed results have came on Tuesdays.
does anyone know if we’re supposed to get an email sometime this week from Barnard about when they will be sending out decisions?
@hazymay101 yeah I think they definitely consider diversity but don’t really use it as an active factor. Hope they do tho, Indian right here! Anyone else applying from India?
Also, quick question- is everybody able to log into their Barnard portals? I just tried to log in and the site’s crashing?
