@lopez2729 @BarM22 I’m glad it went great! I had mine with Elida. When I attended the HEOP Breakfast information session, one of the admissions counselor told me that “If we read your application and we think you can be a great fit for HEOP, we will contact you directly to interview with us on campus.”
@Nataliavas13 yeah it’s working now. Sorry for the trouble
@creativecow @lopez2729 Hopefully our HEOP interview is a good sign! I have a family friend who attends Columbia University under the HEOP program. She told me that usually the HEOP interview is a formality, and you might’ve already been accepted. That would be amazing!!! Good luck to all of you!
Thank you and omg I love that. What a cool major/career path!
I do think ethnicity plays a role bc every college does want diversity, which is obviously really good, but I don’t know if it’s a make or break factor
@lopez2729 @BarrM22 I am not quite sure if they make our decision before or after the interview but lets just hope for the best!!!
We only have about a week left which is both scary and exciting good luck to all of you!
Do you guys think we’ll get an email with the notification date soon?
@ke06 i hope so, I dont want to randomly see that email like I need to know exactly when it’s coming
Im anxiously waiting I’ll next weeek !!?
I mean til *
wishing you guys the best of luck
Last year when decisions were to be released on 13th applicants received a mail around 10th-ish. Somoene however did say last year that usually Barnard emails applicants about the notification date around 6/7 days before.
Hey guys!! I know this is sort of off topic, but I just wanted your opinion on something. So in nov, I got an email saying that my quarter grades were missing, but I couldn’t send them bc I was on break. As soon as I got back to school, however, I talked to my counselor about that and she said our school doesn’t send out quarter grades. Do you think I’d be penalized for this? I’m so nervous about decisions and I just keep thinking over everything!!!
Did your counselor explain that to Barnard? If she did you’ll be fine don’t worry! I think they even mentioned later in the mail that they understand if schools can’t send the grades?
@elsaban same thing with me. I called them and they said no worries, just send in whatever current grades you have.
Does Barnard accept Early Decision applicants more than they do Regular Decision? Because I wasn’t so sure about applying ED and so I’m applying RD… and now I’m worried
If you were not 100% sure, you did the right thing in not applying early. Barnard does accept more ED, but the ED pool of applicants is usually more competitive, so the difference is probably not significant.
Thank you all for the advice! Really going to hope that things go well-- gosh I really love Barnard! We all need to hang in there, and don’t forget, everything happens for a reason!!
Hi I’m just joining this but I applied ED to Barnard and have been counting down the days until decisions come out…My grades are good but I’m worried my ACT is not strong enough. How are you guys feeling about decisions? I;m trying to tell myself I wont get in so I’m not too disappointed
