Hey everyone!
I’m a US citizen currently residing in the Caribbean and I’ve recently applied to the QuestBridge Scholars Program and intend to rank Barnard College as my first choice.
I attended a rigorous all-girls high school here in the Caribbean; I have an unweighted GPA of 3.9 and plan to take my SATs on October 2nd (I scored a 1410 on my latest practice test). My school does not offer AP or IB classes, but I successfully completed the mandatory school-leaving examinations for Caribbean students: the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examinations at the equivalent Grade 10 level, and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) at the equivalent Grade 12 level. These exams are equivalent to Cambridge GCSE O-Level and A-Level Examinations respectively. I received straight A’s in all my exams, with distinctions (honors or equivalent A+) in 5 of 8 CSEC Exams and 1 of 4 CAPE Exams.
According to the application requirements on the QuestBridge website, Barnard requires your high school transcript and SAT scores to be submitted if you are chosen as a Finalist, but I haven’t seen any avenues for submission of international examination results such as the ones I listed above. Does anyone know whether it’s possible to submit these foreign exam scores to Barnard as a supplement to my QuestBridge application and/or if they would be considered official? Or would I have to wait and see if I’m selected as a Finalist before I can receive additional information? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
