Nothing in Brooklyn today, unfortunately. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

21% is absolutely crazy. wow. I thought it was 34% at least.

Celine3455 I KNOW! Im depressed already. Hopefully all of us here made the cut…

Nothing in NJ today.

According to Facebook and BWOG, etc. they mailed out the packages TODAY. So hang in there.

So my guess is they will be sending e-mails to internationals tonight - after they’ve sent the letters just a while ago.

It only just hit me that 21% is stupidly low lmao this is hopeless

@sharbare i have no idea how many applicants got deferred! i was wondering that too. did you send them supplemental material? people have been telling me that that helps

When I got deferred I sent in a letter and three extra recommendations. I feel like I went a little overboard lol.

I live in Missouri and am hoping to receive a letter by Wednesday. This wait is unbearable! Good luck everyone!

yeah, this wait is horrible. i was getting SO anxious and panicked in school today, only to find the letter hadn’t come… Barnard’s been my dream school since I visited almost a year and a half ago but that year and a half seems to have gone by more quickly than the past week has. Haven’t gotten any acceptances yet, either… I’ll be so happy when this process is over.

Yeah, nothing in the south, either. Tomorrow or Wednesday it is, then!

I know what you mean, lilylives. Like, I can’t believe it’s already decision week…but now time just seems to have stopped. Time’s such a ■■■■■.

@lilylives me too! I think that since they seemed to mail out the letters fairly late in the day, New Yorkers should expect to receive them on Wednesday (assuming it’s an acceptance!)?

I don’t think there’s any chance we won’t get them by Wednesday. I’m pretty lucky, as I’m in Connecticut, so I’ll probably hear on the earlier side. I don’t want to get my hopes up for tomorrow… but I totally am.

I sent my photography portfolio and a collection of poems (some published)
And an additional Rec
And a long letter…
And I’ve been updating nj rep with summer internship / volunteer plans

Haha So don’t worry, I’m sure I went overboard too…

It has been a very long three months- so yes these next few days are incredibly nerve racking!! On the bright side, I’ve gotten into 8/9 of the schools I applied to so far so if Barnard still doesn’t want me after this- I’ll just go to McGill and be with hot guys in my favorite city!

My slice of advice for the day though before decisions come out- we all (or at least most) “deserve” this so don’t let a rejection or waitlist break your heart because one decision does not disprove (or to be fair prove) all of the academic and extra curricular efforts and success weve accomplished. we’ll all end up where we’re “meant to be” and if not that’s what transfers are for!

Good luck- I wish you all the best!!!

I’m really really hoping that Barnard accepts me. I’m currently on waitlists at Hamilton, Colby, and Bowdoin. It hasn’t been a great 3 days.

I’ve been rejected by every liberal arts college I applied to so far… and yet miraculously accepted to every UC, including UCLA. Barnard is pretty much my last option as far as private schools. Good luck girls!

Good luck to everyone!

That 21% acceptance rate is certainly daunting. At this point, I don’t have much hope for an acceptance, but I still want that darn letter.

I hate to tell people, but the odds of being selected as RD (including deferred from ED) are actually only 17% (890 out of 5188), since the 21% quoted was for the whole class, but 45% (252 of 561) got in out of the original ED applicant group. I calculated it.
