Barnard Rejects And Acceptants

if you were rejected or accepted to barnard could you plz give me your stats like sat/act gpa class rank and stats plz

1490/3.8 and 3.6 (two different schools, two grading systems)/no rank.

mm, my teacher told me today that it's probably easier to get into Barnard if you want to study the sciences. Since barnard is a liberal arts school, majors like political science, english and other humanities=more competition.

hopeful07, are you planning to apply to barnard next year ?

u should see the official decision thread.. that has all the info u want i think...

Also, this thread - <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=43999%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=43999</a></p>

I have a 3.8 GPA, multiple honors credits and extensive volunteer experience in my chosen field, and got a 2090 on the SAT, and I got rejected.

I’m not saying it isn’t worth a shot, it’s all about each person and maybe I just wasn’t who they were looking for, but they have clearly varying standards, so just be prepared :)

Accepted
1990 SAT, 4.2 weighted GPA (not sure what it is unweighted, but I probably have a B+ or A-), great ECs: yearbook editor, speech captain, service leader, competitive figure skater, active leader in Youth Government, passionate artist. My essay was nice too. Good luck!

wow this makes me nervous! bean92, my stats are very similar to yours…I’m sorry you didn’t get in! do you know where you’re going to go? good luck everyone!

I second what lorrainedelis said. My stats are close to yours Bean92 (though my GPA is higher and my ACT score is lower once you “convert”). bites nails
