Oh dang i didnât know there were waves before. Doesnât it mean that the chances are smaller for later waitlist openings?

I donât think so. If it was closed, they would most likely contact us.
My personal guess is that they are holding off on removing people from the waitlist as they are waiting to see which of their committed students get removed off waitlists at other schools, and therefore will withdraw from Barnard. I guess to get a sense of their numbers before they do the next wave of removals.

I heard from a friend whoâs on two ivy waitlists that they wonât hear back from ivys until May 15th-July so that would definitely affect the Barnard waitlist. They might be waiting until then?

A lot of schools have been closing their waitlists and over enrolled. Do you guys think this is the case for Barnard?

I am beginning to think if there is any major movement, it will be after they know who will be taking a gap year. In addition, since many are overenrolled due to a surplus of last yearâs gap-year students, it may be never⊠
honestly if itâs closed i wish theyâd just tell us
