Iām confused. i thought May 1st was the deadline for people to commit and pay the deposit. So wouldnāt Barnard know how many spots are available by now.
New spots can open if anybody who committed to Barnard first but then get accepted from their waitlist places. They can decide to go to those places instead of Barnard. And spots will open up for us.
yeah I also donāt understand how there arenāt any spots at all after commitment day?? maybe they overenrolled

Hi guys! Iām new to this thread but Iāve been reading all the messages. I actually told my guidance counselor to call Barnardās admissions office and ask about if they are still taking people off and the timeline of when it will close. They told her to email my admissions counselor (Jade Levine) for more info and she said that they only took a very limited amount of people off the waitlist so far and they WILL be taking more people off until the end of July so yeah hope that helps ease some tension!

I have already sent a letter of continued interest and my school is sending another letter on my behalf. At this point, what else could I send in? Is it a good idea to directly contact our admissions officer?
