<p>Does anyone know what type of students usually receive this scholarship? (GPA, test scores, extracurriculars....anything?) What are the main things the scholarship committee is looking for?</p>
<p>Although, I do not have any personal knowledge about the Barnes Scholarsghip since no one has responded I thought I would respond with what limited knowledge I do have. My son did not apply but is a second year bio/chem major. I understand form him as well as posts on this site that it is very competitive–high tests scores and a strong high school AP science background. I believe a current CC student turned down Harvard (or maybe it was Stanford) to accept the Barnes Scholarship. Sorry I could not be more helpful.</p>
