Hi, y’all!

I’m applying to ASU (freshman) as well as the honors college for the fall of 2014.

Here’s a quick academic breakdown:
SAT- 1400
ACT- 33
GPA- 4.0
Class rank- 4/360
11 AP Courses- US History 5, World History 4, Spanish Lang 3, Spanish Lit 4, English Lang 4, English Lit 4, Macro 5, Micro 4, Gov 5, AB Calc 5, Bio 4

Residency- Non-Arizona Resident

I am wondering if anyone knows how much Barrett Scholarships can amount to? And no, unfortunately I am not a National Merit Scholar

Oh, and I graduated in 2013, but I’m taking a gap year, and I’m currently living in Spain.

Have you visited Barrett? I’m very local to the school and Barrett is very highly thought of and the dorms are nice! Your stats are certainly fine for admission but one thing you should consider is the IS/OOS in 2012 at least ran 80/20 and there were 97 NMF in that class. The latter at least will effect merit availablity. There is a page with BHC grant and scholarship and ASU has a scholarship calculator you can try wher you plug in your stats. Best!

I have not yet visited Barrett because I am still living in Spain, and I will be here until January! I plan to visit ASU once I return. Thank you! :)

If anyone has any information pertaining to how much a Barrett Scholarship can add up to (not NMF scholarship), please share!!

You can check here:
https://scholarships.asu.edu/estimator

You have to fill in a location. I think you should use your home state, not international.

You probably qualify for the Presidential, $13K/yr. That is what my D was initially awarded before getting NMF.

Also, depending on the major you apply to, there might be possibility of scholarship directly from the department/school. You have to check with them about that.

You can start here:
https://scholarships.asu.edu/colleges
but probably need to talk to someone to get a better idea of the possibilities.
My D received a substantial additional scholarship from her school (music)

Good Luck! I’m assuming that 1400 SAT is just CR+M? It may be the estimator wants all 3 sections, not sure since I can’t get that line item to work.

Thank you so much celesteroberts :)

Yes, 1400 is M+CR! I have a 2130 M+CR+W!

I will definitely check out the scholarships page-- thanks again!!
