Barrett Question

I am a senior in high school and was planning on going to Barrett. What is the main advantage of going to Barrett rather than ASU? (Yes, I know Barrett is ASU). Would med schools want to see someone who attended Barrett over someone who attended regular ASU? Does it matter if you don’t get in then reapply the next year and get in? Or is the only thing that matters is graduating with “Honors”? Thanks.

Major advantages are easier access to research, scholarships, classes, and professors. Med schools outside of the southwest aren’t familiar with Barrett, though they are familiar with the concept of honors colleges. The advantages that Barrett gives as far as medical school applications go are via access to the things I mentioned above. They won’t care when you got into the college, only the results that you achieved while there.

bump!!!

Barrett is truly amazing. It is the best part of ASU. I know this is an old post, but if you haven’t visited ASU, you should visit and take both the regular tour and the Honors tour to see what I mean. It’s so different in the best way. It’s hard to explain, just go spend a day and take the tour.
