@DAX123 Yes, she applied by November 1. So did this all happen today?
@ignoramusdad I got mine right when I posted, and my friend got his last night. I wouldn’t worry too much yet though. I had an SAT about 100 points better than my friend, a higher GPA, and am a National Hispanic Scholar, but I still technically got my decision later than him. Not getting notified by this point probably doesn’t mean anything. I expect the first wave of notifications will be going out for the next few days up until the deadline.
@Dax123 Thanks for the info, and again, congrats! Are you planning to attend?
@ignoramusdad There is probably a 99% chance at this point. Unless I get a really good offer from somewhere else, I am going to be a Sun Devil next year.
Wish your daughter good luck for me!
@Dax123, congrats and good luck! My D looks forward to receiving hers sometime soon hopefully. Good luck to everyone else as well.
@Dax123 are you a national hispanic scholar?
@DreamforIvy Yeah. I’m not sure how big of a factor that alone was though, as I do know someone who wasn’t a national scholar but already got their acceptance.
E
@DreamforIvy I thought they might be doing things differently this year since it seems like most people who would automatically qualify last year didn’t have a fast application turn around time, but I guess not. Thanks for the info.
Anyway, I’m excited to see if anyone else who applied got a notification yet. Is anyone on here joining me in Barrett?
@Dax123 Did that person receive their decision in the MyASU portal or by email?
@DreamforIvy For both of us, the acceptance letter was on myASU, but we also got an automated email notifying us that a decision had been reached.
Just to add another data point…my D’s friend heard last Friday. She’s in-State, attends a rigorous and highly ranked HS and has “straight A’s” ACT 29. Still waiting for my D…
When do they announce honors acceptance?
IIRC, by Dec 15 (or before, if you applied by the Nov 1 early deadline).
My son got in today
Congrats to your son! Care to share any particulars? Act, sat, in state, out of state, etc
My daughter got in yesterday as well - out of state - presidential scholarship - $14000/year
@ForKid stats?
My D received her acceptance letter (via email to check the MyASU portal) this morning. Out of state, 32 ACT, 3.67 uw GPA, decent but not awesome ECs, above average essay (she thinks), and 1 great and 1 average rec letter. Still waiting to hear from a few others prior to making decision.
She had the old SAT with 1350/1600 and uw GPA of 3.8. Good ECs and average essay with 2 good rec letter. The scholarship was correctly reflect based on the school estimator.
