I've heard it's really good, but that's about it. It's worth a try.

good question .. i want to know too

it is a good book, my 2nd choice after the blue book. but the questions in it are harder than the ones in the blue book. get it...totally worth it.

what problems do you have on the math graphing and grid ins? Maybe I can help out if you explained more. :)

yea same...math is like the only thing i am good at in the SAT so maybe i could give you a hand

Barrons 2400 is a great book as is Kaplan's SAT 2400.

We, ceeae.org, have reviews of both books.

In terms of math strategies, the Barrons 2400 book pimps some good strategies:
1. Try to plug in answer choices instead of doing the algebra that is ordinarily required
2. Know when to use the calculator (minimum/maximum problems) - actually I use the Ti89, so I use a calculator more often than most other people do.
3. Well, I guess I should stop here and just say that there are plenty more strats in the book, but if you give us a little more specific info on what types of problems are confusing you, we could be of more assistance.

Mmm.. I'm not sure if prep books will easily improve your score from 2100. One possible option is to sign up for Kaplan's Free QuizBank (go to kaptest.com). And whenever you do math problems, set the difficulty level only on "hard" so you only get to see "hard" math problems.

But really, SAT math section is one section that you know exactly what to expect. This is why I'm against SAT prep workout books for math because if you prepare with CB's blue book and do tons of practices which are available online, you should do fine. Seriously, if you want to get perfect score on math section, do about 500 math problems. You should be good to go and I'm not kidding when I mean about 500 math problems. By doing that much, you'll be used to basically every type of math problem you'll encounter.

where are the most accurate practice tests (other than the blue book)?

Redbook, or 10 real sat's.

throw out the analogy and quantitative comparison questions and you have yourself 10 more practice tests, plus 8 of which have complete explanations on Studyhall.com

Yeah, I would definitely recommend Barron's 2400. It really got me off to a great start trying to help my SAT scores after winging it the first time

I just bought Barron's 2400 yesterday :) :D :)

I get excited whenever I have a new SAT prep book LMAO.

LOL thecomisar.. same with me ^_^

lol, I agree . . . this might sound really pathetic but I love looking over newly acquired books. As in, "Mmm, the pages, they're so smooth!"

hahahaha... Yeah, Barron's pages do feel so different from the blue book. Makes me wonder what Princeton Review would be like... :D

Hey, does barrons 2400 have the 3500 word vocab list?

No... it just has a list of 4 letter SAT words (about 40), and a list of regular words that goes on for about 5 pages. Maybe a couple hundred words.

i have problems with those hard functions& permutation types of problems.
i only know how to solve like 70% of those questions right noe.

How are the tips on CR in Barron's 2400? Are they helpful, or are they common sense things?

Looking back from what I said yesterday, maybe I shouldn't have typed the "Mmm" part, it makes me sound like I have some sort of book fetish . . . I really don't! ^_^;
