Barrons 3500 Word List

Where can I get this? What book contains this list? Thanks!

READ the two topics above this and before this. GOD cant anyone search anymore. Sheesh. And you wont be able to study 3500 words in a week. It took me one whole month to do it and I studied 3-4 hours / day. Trust me..

It's too late to start memorizing 3500 words...

I think your best bet is to just practice that portion of the CR.

<a href="http://www.wordhacker.com/en/wordlists/sat_word_list.wdl%5B/url%5D">http://www.wordhacker.com/en/wordlists/sat_word_list.wdl</a>
or <a href="http://www.postech.ac.kr/%7Egla/gre/%5B/url%5D">http://www.postech.ac.kr/~gla/gre/</a>
I'm pretty sure that's it..

hmm, wait I'm not sure if it is really the Barron's list =/

Bump...can anyone who has the real barron's list verify if either links contain the real list?

Also - is the testmasters ~2k word list comparable to/better/worse than barrons? It seems likes barrons is the main SAT word list and covers a lot of the vocab...but if testmasters is a viable alternative, ive already studied that list pretty well (Im taking the test Saturday).

what does "bump" mean?

The wordhacker list is not it. It has some other random words thrown in.

The postech list is it, but the person who posted it added another 1300 words or so: his list has 4800+ words.

I don't like the Barrons list a whole lot, but I'm about to become one of those people who posts the same contrarian opinion in 12 different threads until everyone wants to kick them off the boards. :) Search for my previous posts or PM me if you want to know my opinion of the Barrons list. In the meantime, you will have to keep googling, 'cause neither of those links is the real thing.

"bump" means that poster has nothing to add but wants the thread to rise to the top of the discussions list so that other people will see it.

hi,everyone

Xiggi posted this list a while back:

If you’re thinking of using Barron’s Word List, make sure you accompany it with a dictionary because some of the definitions are flawed.

and like paper said i’ve heard there are a few errors. i recommend having mw as you go through the words to give you latin roots/origins+a verifying definition

just realized this is from 2006>< my bad

Another alternative: not to do Word Lists.
