How much harder are the Barrons ACT 2009 practice tests compared to the real thing?

Much, much harder in a nutshell.

i have a Barrons 2007…and ITS SO HARD…hahahaha…the grammar…i’m missing like half!! and i got like a 32 on the english when i took the ACT in sept

Just bought two Baron’s Books today…I’m a bit nervous :X

sorry, i meant when i took the ACT in APRIL**

yeah well I got a 25 in english, in reading, and in ,math, 23 in science. All of this is in Barrons. So what does this mean???

Probably higher. Go get the REAL ACT BOOK.

I did the barrons MAth subj test and it told me I got like a 600 something, and I got a 760, and I heard a lot of their material is more difficult.

not just more difficult…but in my experience, barron’s questions are rather useless as they are harder in the sense that the questions are not similar to the real thing

for instance in the english section, I find that during the real test many questions can easily be answered without ambiguity if one knows grammar reasonably well; however, on barron’s tests, they test grammar to the point that even if you have a firm grasp of english, there is almost always a dispute over the answer choices

as cjgone or someone else said, get the red Real ACT prep guide or the new edition of princeton review

Yeah…was looking over the english section, looks terrible. I think they just copied and pasted a grammar book into the book.

You should look, there it some more posts on a thread just like this.

Yeah, and I can’t believe I got 16 wrong on the English portion :(
