Hey Guys,

I wanted to know what were your thoughts on the book... was it useful to you? Was it a waste of time?

I would appreciate any feedback!

Hey Guys,

I wanted to know what were your thoughts on the book... was it useful to you? Was it a waste of time?

I would appreciate any feedback!

It’s great, especially for the English section. Even with minimal use of it, I still feel like it helped me a lot.

I think it really helped me on the Math section. Though it didn’t do miracles for me in the science section. I didn’t read any of the English sections, as I already do pretty well there. However I’ll probably read the whole thing for the next ACT test I’ll take!

Are you asking if it’s good enough to buy? I would say yes! I think this and the official ACT practice book make a great combo!!

I’d say that ACT 36 really only helps you on a select few problems. It didn’t help me much on reading and science (my weaknesses), but it’s good if you need help with math and English. If you’re great at English and math, I wouldn’t suggest using this book.

Reading, Math, and English are my highest scores (29+) but science of kryptonite… thank you for the feedback guys… looks like this book won’t be much of a help… hows PR ACT?

PR ACT is excellent. It was the best book out of the ones that I used.

im having so much trouble getting through this book. i think its pretty boring=(

My kids didn’t like the PR format, preferred Kaplan and “10 Real ACT’s”. My youngest used the 36 ACT book and liked it, also found “ACT in a Box” useful during the school year when study time was extremely limited.

Where is this “10 real ACTs” book?

^McGraw Hill.

Don’t use it, though, all of the tests are much, much easier than the actual exam.

I actually would get the Mcgraw Hill book. First of all, the tests are not all easier. For example, I never got more than 71/75 on the English section in this book, but got a 33,34, and 35 in the red book. It is a good book to have to develop strategies for the test, but it doesn’t reflect the score you will get.

The ACT 36 book was OK. English was good. Math is OK, it focuses on obscure problems like hyperbolas and ellipses that you will almost never see. Reading - not worth it. Science - not worth it.
