I'd like to know if you think Barron's ACT prep Book with 6 practice test is over prepare you in terms of getting high score. Should I spend lots of time on this book? what is the real value to use this book? Many thanks

I do not like this book. It is WAY harder than the actual ACT. The score it gives you will NOT be a good indicator of how you will actually do.

I believe the review material was pretty good though. Practice tests…innaccurate.

I used it. Got through about 1/4 of it. Got a 36 on the real acts. I never took a practice test there (used the big red book for that) but the strategies were decent if not common sense.

I have the Barron’s 16th ed in front of me, and the practice tests are garbage. Comparing its tests to the real practice test on actstudent.org shows a huge, structural difference between the two. It’s got great info though, albeit too much. It teaches probably way too much trig, but it’s better to have too much info than too little (looks at Princeton Review knowingly).

so which ACT book would you guys recommend?

PR?

10char

So what act material do you think i should use? I mean i don’t know what book or material to order!
