Hey,
Has anyone used Barrons AP Biology flashcards to prep for the AP Biology exam? Do they help? Are they worth buying? If you don't recommend these flashcards, are there any other AP Bio test prep aids that you would recommend? I am taking AP Bio this coming year and I wanted to make sure I got the best preparation.

Thanks so much!!

Could anyone pls answer this question? I’d like to know as well.

Thanxx so much

I was in the same position last year, looking at Amazon at these flash cards…I ended up waiting to see if I wanted to get them for the exam…turns out my AP teacher had them and let me borrow them…
I did use the flash cards, but not that much…there’s SO MANY OF THEM…which you think would be a good thing, they do have diagrams and are sorted by category, so that’s helpful with your review, but in all honesty, they will be a WASTE OF TIME TO LOOK AT! here’s why…
there’s not that much information on the cards, they give you a few random little facts that usually not amazing for review…no doubt - they are concise, but really what YOU WANT FOR AP BIOLOGY IS A REVIEW BOOK!!! (AND PRACTICE TESTS!!) …I know this because I took it this year and got a 5…without a doubt I worked really really hard throughout the year, but review books like CLIFFS or Princeton (ones I would recommend) really HIT EVERY TOPIC with practice, vocabulary, etc!! …
also, do practice questions!! they help the most and if you can somehow get your hands on old AP BIOLOGY EXAMS…from your teacher, or from some trading on collegeconfidential…you will be in tiptop shape to get the 5!!! :)

I can’t speak for bio but I have used their review cards for other classes and I like them a lot.

BUY CLIFFS REVIEW BOOK. End of story. That is all you need. I had a horrible teacher, read the book once, and got a 5 easy. CLIFFS CLIFFS CLIFFS.

^ Haha. Sounds exactly like my story!

I took AP bio this year. I used Cliffs (which was GREAT) and Barron’s flashcards too. The night before the exam I had aready finished cliffs and so i sat doen and went through all the barron’s flashcards, sorting them into a “know and don’t know” pile. I knew most of the material, but it did help. they can’t hurt
