Barron's AP Computer Science A

How hard are the Barron's multiple choice compared to those of the actual exam? I've been getting a whole bunch (>10) of Barron's MC wrong, but doing fine on the free response.

Around ten wrong out of 40 on an AP test is pretty good…

I took practice MC test from Barrons and got -17 (wasn’t really focusing… it was 7am), but can’t compare it to a real test until tomorrow :)

I’d say getting 15 or less wrong is a really solid performance on the APCS multiple choice section. I’ve been using Barron’s to study for APCS as well and have been scoring in a similar range (5-15 wrong). The problems are meant to be tricky, but practicing the type of questions that will be on the exam has really helped me. I only need a 3 to receive college credit, but I really want that 5 :)

After taking the test, I now feel that Barron’s was significantly harder than the real test.
