barrons APWH

what are your thoughts on this book? i currently have PR cracking the WH exam, will that be enough, or should i supplement PR with barrons?

i really want a 5

Use barrons to study for the class. And use PR to study for the ap exam.

i find something that my teacher said recently to be quite...encouraging. he said that if we get a 5, we'll get definite A's for the yr. a 4=B, 3=C...and so on...so i really want that 5. honestly i don't really care what we do in class b/c his grading system is somewhat vague. u just need him to feel like ur tryin very hard.

so my question is, say if ur self studing for APWH. which prep book would u recommend? PR or barrons? or both?

both definitely yournamehere. but if you had to choose 1 or only have about two weeks before the ap exam, i would just focus on pr. barron's tend to have too much information that are unnecessary. Anyways, reading pr thoroughly is a must. I think almost every single question on last year's exam was mentioned in pr.

i read through this entire book cover to cover the 1-2 weeks before the test and got a 5. seriously, if you paid attention in class and understand the material, and use this as a review, you will be fine.

monkeycloud- u mean PR?
lol. i don't find my class lectures to be helpful at all. i'm pretty sure we're learning stuff that is completely unnecessary for the AP exam. i take notes but since my teacher talks EXTREMELY fast, i write really fast to keep up. so my handwriting is horrible and i can't read what i write. hence why i'm sort of counting on a good prep book to help me this time. almost like self-study.

yournamehere:

sorry, i meant barron's. well, maybe you could paraphrase or jot key things down instead of copying whole sentences, etc?
