I want to buy one of Barron's ACT prep books. I keep reading how they "overprepare" you or something like that. I'd like that. Which book is it though? Is it the Barron's ACT 36?

Thanks!

If you guys have any better suggestions for books, I'd love to hear it.

My June ACTs, I had a 29 in each section and a 24 in science. I'd like to raise it up to at least a 32 in each section.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, but I also had a similar question.
Is Barron’s ACT 36 different from a regular Barron’s ACT (2009 edition)??
What are the differences? Will one prepare me better than the other?

Also, after searching this forums, I read that the Barrons books overprepare you as in they test you on concepts that aren’t tested in the real ACT. I’ve also read that the PR cracking the ACT is a better prep.

I have practice tests, I just want a book that would walk me through the problems I would encounter. Which would be better, PR or Barrons?
