barrons chem!!!

so i have the older edition of the barrons sat chem book, it has a gray cover and its from 2001, i was just wondering, should i buy the more recent one which came out in 2006? is barrons even a good choice period? would i be better off with princeton review or kaplan?
thanks so muchh

you'll be fine, i had the same book and i took the test in 2006, which is when the new book came out, and i still did fine. (730)

i didn't like Barron's that much though, there's no doubt it helped me, but it also made me memorize random things that ended up not appearing on the test at all, when i could've been memorizing other things.

from what i've heard, princeton is too easy (my friend had it, she said it really just didn't help her after a certain point, b/c she was getting 800s on the practice tests, so she bought Barron's, after which she felt horrible, then proceeded to get a 730 on the chem SAT II too) and kaplan just sucks. (other friend) i haven't had any personal experience with McGraw-Hill, but amazon.com gives it good reviews.
