Barrons for SAT II Bio

people say that barrons need a lot of time but what do they mean like are you suppose to memorize the book or just learn the concepts becasue i studied the book today and yeastday and only have 3 chapters left, thats not bad for a day.

Are we suppose to the miniscule details like all the vitamins and what they do, memorize them or not???????????

and does Barrosn have all thats needed for the exam does it cover everything which can show up on the exam or is there any other book that can do that??????????

bump anyone!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Read it like the bible and memorize everything and you will do fine.

For bio the knowledge base is immense and everything on the Barron's is fair game. I read it religiously and got a 780.

Naidu, could you tell me what kinda scores you were getting on the Barrons prep tests? i'm studying it religiously now, it goes wherever I go nowadays :)

Also if you dont mind, how many days/hours did it take you to sufficiently prepare? I'm reading over it now, and it's almost like leisure reading after cramming cramming cramming cliffs AP book . . my only real problem right now is not lack of knowledge, but the TIME LIMITs X(

i am SUCKING the barrons prep tests..omg..i don think i am gonna pass this, it makes AP looks easy..(yea it does actually, cause i used to do BETTER on AP practice tests)....

( i think we should make a study thread or something)

collegefreak: lol there was a vitamin question but it was a really general one on the may sat

sarorah - When I took the practice tests, i kept getting high 500's to low 600's. This is because I don't really pay attention while I am taking practice tests. but the night before, when I took the exam I got an 800 on the last practice test in the book. BTW - in sparknotes I kept getting high 600's - if you get higher than that, you are doing fine :)

Also, it took me a week of intense preparation and memorization to learn everything!:(

I'd suggest Princeton Review sat ii bio too...I'm also taking June and barrons can be way involved...PR just clears it up and simplifies what you need to know

lol all i have are barron's prep books and they make me feel stupid.... those math tests are impossible to finish w/o a programmed graphing calculator.

Xylem: Me too. The AP test was easy compared to the sparknote and barrons test. However, the SAT practice test that my AP teacher provided for me was so freaking easy :P

I think we should start a new study thread for SAT II bio (like the one that used to be for AP) who agrees ?

So pretty much EVERYTHING in barron's is possible? even like a diagram of a microscope, etc?
