Barron's Literature diagnostic test

Hello.

I just bought the Barron's SATII: Literature book. So far I have been challenged by the difficulty of the questions; although I expected nothing less from the Barron's folks.

I thought I would contribute to the archives of the internet with the following information that will ease the stress of people freaking out about low scores on the Barron's diagnostic test.

Two weeks ago I took the SATII: Literature test from the blue book w/o studying and scored a 700. I just took the diagnostic test in the Barron's book and scored a 33/60 which is approximately a 600 on their practice test scale. So, I am taking this to mean that you can, ROUGHLY, add about 100 points to your Barron's diagnostic test score to get your projected actual exam score.

Feel free to give your impressions or experiences with the Barron's Lit book so we can all benefit.

OMG thank you so much for posting this!!!
I was terrified because I just took the diagnostic test and i got 35/60 and i was like rip
thank

This may or may not be true, but certainly the method you used to arrive to your conclusion is beyond faulty. You took one test released from the collegeboard; you then took one single test from Barron’s. You might’ve just had a good run on the CB test, then a bad run on the Barron’s. It’s highly possible that sampling variability is what caused the difference in scores, not necessarily the difficulty of the tests (especially since you only took both once).
