the SAT book makes me depressed. I miss so many questions.

well if it makes u feel any better, barron's is known to throw harder tests than the usual tests. you might want to try the 10 reals or princeton's tests...they are about the right difficulty

Yes, barrons is harder, but then again it's better to practice with harder questions than with easier ones.

it's better to "fail" when you practice then fail or screw up on the real tests.

just think.. when your hard earned scores come in the mail you'll be happy you drilled the hard questions.

BArron's has some really good hard math practice though.....

oh, don't worry, i've been missing a lot too! esp. in sentence completion! i'm soo bad at it! but that's what the practice is for!!

i've missed a bunch on sentence completions as well! i hope that I do better on the actual test because things are not looking good at this point!

My problem seems to be the opposite, I get perfects on the sentence completions then miss like 9 comprehension questions, I was wondering if barrons is notorious for skewing their questions to the harder side of the spectrum. Also, what are some good ways to handle abstract questions (Inference, Tone, mood) ?

in terms of actual passage readings, some of the details are a little bit obscure and i think that's why it's difficult. i don't do too well on any of the CR or writing. Math is okay but I still miss a decent amount more than I "should" according to the last time i took the SAT.

i know barron's math section is notably harder than the real SAT is.

it's harder but isn't that better than doing really easy stuff and doing really bad on the real test?
