I got a 730 on a Barrons Math II test, which is a great score, but I want an 800. I remember reading on these forums that Barrons was supposed to be significantly harder than the actual SAT, how true is that?

I took a Barron’s Math II practice test the day before and got a 770 on it.

I got a 800 on the real thing.

I got a 760,770 Barrons, but an 800 real thing.

Yeah, I heard Barrons Math SAT II is a looot harder than the real thing. People who score 740+ on barrons typically get 800 on the real test. Im taking the June Math II SAT II and i havent reviewed yet but i looked at the barrons math and some of it is pretty hard compared to the math II test in the Offical Collegeboard Guide to SAT Subject tests.

What about Sparknotes? I got a 770 on one of their tests.

barron’s is scaled to be harder. the day before testing, my barrons were in high 600s to mid 700s and i scored an 800

yeah my barrons were consistently high 6 low 7. i got perfect scores on the blue book practice tests and a 760 on the real deal

If you are getting around 730 on Barron’s, you should be in good shape… I was getting, like, 620-740s on Barron’s and got an 800 on the real thing. Barron’s is so much harder than the real thing, I’m not even sure if taking practice exams helps you. You would be better off investing your time in taking Princeton Review/Sparknotes/Kaplan practice exams.
