Barrons Math IIC... Does it have too much information?

Okay, I've just done a couple of problems from Barrons Math IIC subject test prep book and come across stuff about centroids and degenerate cases. How do I know if these are just superfluous information for the test?

Is there a "check-off" list like the ones they have for the AP exam where they accentuate the main points that you need to know? How do people know what to study for exactly? Also, would you guys recommend me get another prep book or a precal text book to brush up my skills for an 800? Thanks.

That's the number one book yo need to use to get an 800... don't worry if your diagnostic and tests are like 20-25 raw because i know of some people who got like 18 on their BArron's practice tests and got 800s on the real thing. Barrons over prepares you but it's still the best book for math.

can anyone scan and upload that book for those who cant offerd it? that's gonna help hundreds of people, like me, on CC.
JenniferJones, would you please do that for us?? It wont take a long to do it.
PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!
I live in Mongolia where SATII isn't taken and its books arent sold. But I wanna take satII math2 and physics, cuz i wont go for without an satII scores. i need at least two of them.

It's called the library...that's where i got mine form

Tsenguun, you could always just order it from online.

Just buy the book from amazon or ebay or something...

ya, amazon. anyway, sheed, u have boosted my confidence. i got a 24 on my diagnostic test, so now i am confident that i can get a 800

the barrons math level 2 book gives WAAAY too much information. i still did reasonably (low-mid 700s) on the practice tests in that book, but i barely paid attention to the superfluous material and there was only one thing that i even remotely failed to recognize on the actual SAT II (may 07), where it turned out i was missing the formula for a right circular cone at the beginning of all the tests. seriously, all test prep books make the test look way harder than it is and math IIC is no exception.

(i got 800 btw)

Yeah, man, the Barrons makes the real SAT math look like elementary arithmetic (sorta). If you're looking to brush up on basic concepts, using the Barrons will help other skills other than SAT II math ones.

Honestly this book was my savior. I got 20;s on all the tests i took. On test day i looked at my test, and laughed for the first 2 mins (not an exaggeration). People next to me looked at me funny. But i finished the test prob getting every question i answered correct ( i skipped just one). I had 10 minutes left after the test and i was literally chilling and thinking, omg, that was too easy.

But you should no doubt get teh SAT_OS program for ur calculator

i got a 41 raw score on test #1 in barrons. definitely review what u got wrong and the chapters in the diagnostic test and then use calc progs. i give links to the best:

guaranteed 800 on the real test, maybe

What's the best Precal textbook that would prepare me for the Math IIC? I'm looking for one that has lots of examples, can be understood easily, and includes a lot of practice problems for you to practice on.

Btw, are there any SAT programs for HP 50G?

sry, only ti's

hey Iildimsum7 do those ti programs work for a TI-84plus? i opened the links and saw that they were for 83s and i wasn't sure if they'd work for 84s as well...

Stuff that works for an 83 will work for an 84--84s basically have more memory and some additional stats functions & apps.

guaranteed 800 on the real test, maybe

I loled.

LMFAO thats a MAJOR copyright infringement..*

not in China..
