Please tell me the real test is nothing like some of their problems. I'm going into AP Calc BC next year and I don't suck at math but these questions are mad hard.

if you get 650+ on barrons you will get an 800 on the real test. the formulas are the biggest part, and you can put them in your TI-83. the practice questions are good and dont let a bad score hurt your confidence. however, i found the book to be great practice and i got an 800 but never got close to perfect on any practice test.

first 15 on barron's are the first 40 on the real test

so in the end, would everyone agree that the barrons tests are good for the math level c2?

It depends, they worked for me.

I've heard from some people though, they were overwhelmed and disappointed with how they were doing on the barron's test and they think they would have gotten a much higher score if they focused more on what was actually on the test. Barron's will not only expose you to very tough problems, but types of problems you wont even see on the test.

I used Barron's and totally hated it. The problems are way too difficult and pretty much nothing it mentioned appeared on the test. I was so frustrated and was convinced I would do horribly (ended up getting a 730, with no help from Barron's). So yes, it's nothing like the real test. Don't get frustrated (I think I cried), get a different book. In my opinion, it's not worth the agony to "secure" an 800.

Most of Barron's stuff isn't on the test, but the problems are useful in that if you can do them, you can ace the test. Don't sweat it if you can't get a good score on Barron's.

ha, I crammed studied with Barrons, got the same score on the real test as i did on Barrons.

Barrons always makes its questions way harder than the actual test.

the way i see it, over-prepping wont hurt

how much time does it take to get through the whole barrons book?

im working through the barrons book coz im taking the test in october. it kinda depends on how much u cram when u use the book i guess. i finished the lessons in like a month by working one or two lessons a day and am doing one to two tests a week. If you are starting now, i might suggest finishing the lessons in two weeks and doing 1 test every 3 days until oct 14.

but what do you guys think of the princeton review math 2c tests?

alright thanks everyone for your comments...guess i might as well bust my ass off with barrons.

barrons is overprep but not bad really
