I have both Math level 1 and 2 from barron's as I plan to take both subject test. I am not a particularly strong math student. Would these two books be enough for the REGULAR sat or should I get a math workbook from Barron's which I have heard good things about. I only have this summer to blast through SAT practice (I have work as well so time is limited) so I want to know if I want to invest the time in an extra book.

At this moment, I am looking to work through the Barrons writing book, Math level 1 and level 2, direct hits, and the blue book.

If you are well-prepared for the Math Level 2 Subject Test, which the Barron’s book will certainly allow you to accomplish (as most students agree it covers excessively advanced topics), you should have all the knowledge of fundamentals that you need to perform your best on the Math section of the SAT. At that point, you should spend your time, first, carefully working through official practice tests from the Blue Book and, second, training for speed under timed conditions with the remaining official tests.

Absolutely, I understand. However, my true question was if these two books or even the first book alone (math level 1), would be enough for a complete review for the REGULAR, standardized SAT 1.

My answer was indeed in reference to the regular SAT Reasoning Test.

If you’re going to study from only the Math Level 1 guide and not Math Level 2, that should also be sufficient for the Reasoning Test. If, when taking SAT practice tests, you find yourself lacking in knowledge of one or two concepts, you can always check for supplemental references at that time.

Thank you, that is all I wanted to know. I just didn’t want to spend all the money on additional practice. I do have the blue book which I want to use extensively, but first, I just want to build a light foundation and review the type of questions that might be in both types of test.

Thanks a lot silver, I have seen a lot of your work on here and I am impressed by your dedication.
