Is it just me or does it seem that the Barron's Book is extremely hard compared to other review books like the College Board? I have heard just from my older peers that they have scored up to 100 points higher on the actual SAT II Math Level Two than the practice tests. Is this all true or BS?

True. Barron's questions are a lot more complicated.

In December I got 670-710 on all Barron's Math 2 tests
, but on December 6, I got 780 on real thing.

Yesterday (Jan 18) I took Barrons again and got 780
So im expecting 800 on Jan. 24 !!!

Thanks a lot guys! I was so scared that I was going to get like a 620 on the real thing. But, I'm going to keep using Barron's because it is very declarative.

My story.
Barron practice tests: never got above a 650.
Real score: 790 (due to a 2 min calculator malfunction, I know it sucks)

My rule of thumb is: if you can score X on a Barron's test, you have a solid chance of getting X+100 on the real thing.

Wow, I did not know that Barron's was that difficult... the highest I got so far was a 680, but that was kind of lucky. I doubt that I can get in the mid to high 700s.

what was your final score?

Just to reiterate what the above posters said: the Barron’s is indeed more difficult. My scores in the practice tests fluctuated between 690 and 760, and I got an 800 on this month’s real test.

My scores with Barron’s fluctuated between 690-800, and I got all 800s on CB released practice test, but I got a 780 on the real thing. I actually expected to do a lot better, since there were a lot of people on CC saying that they got in the mid-600 range on Barron’s and still managed an 800 on the real thing. Bottom line, even if you manage to do really well on Barron’s, still prepare yourself a lot for the real thing, b/c I think I started slacking off on studying after I got an 800 on Barron’s…

@ elf4EVA where did you find released practice tests? Are there any online because so far i haven’t found any

This is a bit old but i’m prepping right now and i’m freaking out because the test is next week and i’ve only taken one practice test from Barron and i got a 680 and i ran out of time to even look at the last 5 problems.

@jonahtang CB publishes them in this book: [The Official SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Levels 1 & 2 Study Guide: The College Board: 9780874477726: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Official-Subject-Tests-Mathematics-Levels/dp/0874477727). From what I remember, there are two tests for each level. Although if you got a 680 in Barron’s without even looking at the last five problems, you should be beyond fine on the real thing; there’s no need to freak out at all. Anyway, best of luck!

How is the Princeton review compared to the real SAT math 2 test? I got a 690… roughly what would that be?
