Specifically talking about Barron's Act and ACT 36, how did you.guys find.the prep material in regards to review on topics and practice?

I used barron’s regular book and took all the practice tests, and, now that I look back on it, I wish I hadn’t. It now seems like it was all a slight waste of time. I did so much worse on all the barron’s and they were just so much harder (at least for me) that all they did was make me cry and crush my self esteem. Like, on the last red book test I took I had a 30c: 34e, 28m, 32r, and 25s (i realllly need to raise my science score, but that’s a different matter =/) and on the barron’s test I had pretty much consistent 24s across the board, except for math where I got up to like a 27 at times.
Anyway, I know there are some that like taking harder tests so that the real test seems easier, but I am just definitely not one of those people!

Yeah, the tests seem so.much.harder… What about for review on.content and general tips/strategies?

Any other opinions?

I thought that taking a harder test would be helpful but I thought wrong. The real act helped bump up my grade from a 26 to a 32 which is a huge improvement in my book.

How did real ACT help? Can you elaborate? Did you just do the practice tests and looked over the answers to see what went wrong and try and understand from it or you studied the entire book from start to finish? went over all the tips and practice tests?
