I am planning on taking the SAT II in World History this June and I am looking for review books. It seems that everyone likes the Barron's SAT II World History book. Is this the correct book?

If it is, I noticed that it was published in 1996. I was wondering, is that still accurate for studying for this year's test or is it kind of outdated? What are your opinions?

There's a more recent edition of Barron's SAT II World History book that I used last year -- I thought it was very helpful for review, and it is very detailed (though a bit dense to read). I'd say, try a local bookstore to see if you can find a newer version.

For World History I used Kaplan, as well as Barrons. I found that Barrons, though useful for the class, was a bit too detailed. They provided information that didn't seem neccesary. However, Kaplan did not have as many photographs and art-related information; Barrons did. I would suggest using Barrons but also getting an additional book that is not as detailed, so that you are able to connect this dense information with a more concise outline.
