People say that barrons is much harder than the actual math on the SAT. However I am almost done with all of the lessons in the book and the questions are not hard at all.

I usually miss a few Q's per lesson if any.

Is barrons a good book to practice for the SAT? How well does it translate to the real thing?

Thanks.

I have never used the Barron’s Math workbook.

In general, Barron’s questions don’t tend to be good indicators of the types of questions that will appear on the actual SAT.

Neither are those of Princeton Review, Kaplan, or any other test prep company for that matter.

Stick with the books generally pushed by CCers:

1) SAT Official Study Guide, the famous “Blue Book”
2) Direct Hits, Volumes 1 & 2 (buy online)

I recommend the SAT Official Online Course (through the College Board).

You get 10 more official practice tests, and tons of lessons and practice quizzes.

In short, stick with CB materials. The best way to practice for the real SAT is to practice for the real SAT.
