Barron's SAT Physics that bad?

I am giving the SAT subject tests in Physics (along with Chem and Math Level 2) this October. I went through a couple of posts regarding the Barron's SAT Physics Book and the major problem I seem to find in most posts is Barron's inconsistency in the coverage of the topics (over-prep on one side and superficial on the other).

I really am aiming for an 800 on the Physics Subject Tests and found Barron's to be a great review. I scored around 700-720 in the diagnostic test. I would really like to hear what you have to say about prepping just through Barron's (I don't have the greatest of Physics backgrounds, but Barron's has helped me a lot) and if that's not enough, what specific topics should I try to cover through other books, which Barron's has lacked? Badly need an 800 or at least a 780.

Anyone for their views on Barrons Physics? I know much has already been said on other threads. But still would like to hear from someone who has gone through this book. Thanks!

Barron’s a lot of extra material such as Laser in optics and transformers and cathode rays etc. stuff that will never show up on the real test. However, from my experience, the starting chapters of Barron’s are probably the best from kinematics, dynamics to other mechanics topics. I’d recommend using the Princeton review since it has no extra material and is very comprehensive and easy to read. A combination of Barron’s and PR would be perfect with more focus on PR.

Good luck!
